SERVOY AND CARAHSOFT DEVELOP STRATEGIC AGREEMENT TO EXPAND RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (RAD) OFFERINGS IN GOVERNMENT MARKETPLACE - Servoy RAD and Deployment products to be marketed by Carahsoft via GSA Schedule 70 - Moorpark, CA - January, 2006 - Servoy USA (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Servoy BV), a privately-held company headquartered in The Netherlands, today announced it has formed a strategic reseller agreement with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a government-focused information technology provider. Carahsoft has been selected as Servoy's Master GSA Agent partner for all Servoy products. The Servoy-Carahsoft alliance expands Servoy's presence in the government market and provides government organizations with an easier process by which they can purchase Servoy's Rapid Application Development and Deployment tools. Under the terms of this agreement, Carahsoft will provide sales and marketing expertise -- as well as sales of Servoy products -- via its Government Services Contract Schedule 70. The Carahsoft contract adds the Servoy product line and services to its GSA schedule GS-35F-0131R effective immediately and in effect until November 19, 2009. "This is a product that the government already has expressed a need for," said Craig P. Abod, president of Carahsoft. "Servoy enables Government organizations to make better use of their data; improve their business processes; and securely get the most up-to-date and accurate information from (and into) their databases and (legacy) applications." Several of Servoy's Rapid Application Development and Deployment products are covered in the GSA schedule, including: Servoy Developer used to build applications; Servoy Server used to handle the secure (SSL) client-server communication of database data to clients; and Servoy Client -- which can be deployed either as Servoy Smart Client running directly on end-user computers; or using Servoy Headless Client, an API that enables JSP (Java Server Pages), Java servlets and other Java applications to deliver Servoy application data via a web browser -- using a single code base to re-use business logic and increase ROI. Servoy Developer and Servoy Client are 100% Java compatible with virtually all computer platforms, and can connect to multiple and/or different SQL databases at the same time. Bob Cusick, North American Managing Director for Servoy, said, "Servoy is pleased to partner with Carahsoft to offer our Rapid Application Development and Deployment products to the Government. Our products enable developers to build robust Java applications with the speed and ease of using a desktop database tool. We are committed to providing products that will meet the needs of our government and enterprise customers today and in the future."
